1.Please tell us what you learned from your work experience at SRMG?

I learned how to communicate, work with others, learned small details, and behind the scenes of a company. The most important thing I've learned is that hard work pays off in the end and what you do when you work is the result of the effort.

2.Please tell us what you enjoyed most about SRMG?

What I enjoyed doing was being at the front desk and how to organize. I also enjoyed learning different machines. I enjoyed communicating with others and learning skills from this experience for the future in case I want to start a business.

FAQ's

Q:
Does Salt River Materials Group have preference in hiring?
A:
Yes, Salt River Materials Group (SRMG) is the commercial trade name for marketing activities of Phoenix Cement Company and Salt River Sand and Rock. Phoenix Cement Company and Salt River Sand and Rock are independent divisions of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRP-MIC).

However, all qualified individuals are encouraged to apply. During the hiring process, management will determine a prospective employee’s ability, skill, competency and other qualifications needed for the job. When all these are equal between a qualified Community Member, a qualified Native American and other quailified candidate, preference will be given to the qualified Community Member, then a qualified Native American and then other qualified candidate.
Q:
Are you only located in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area?
A:
No, we have various locations in several states. Click on the map to view our locations throughout the southwest.
Q:
How can I learn more about the industry?
A:
Check out the following websites: http://www.cement.org and http://www.azrockproducts.org
Q:
I work for an employment agency, temporary staffing firm, or consulting business. How can I present applicants to you?
A:
SRMG does not accept resumes from headhunters or suppliers that have not signed a formal fee agreement. Our supplier base is limited to specific hiring needs. Therefore, any resume received from an unapproved supplier will be considered unsolicited, and SRMG will not be obligated to pay a referral fee.
