What is the Coronado Harvested Fly Ash Project?

In July 2020, SRMG expanded its agreement with the Coronado Generating Station to begin an innovative fly ash harvesting initiative. This project was designed to reclaim previously landfilled fly ash, process it using state-of-the-art beneficiation equipment, and reintroduce it as a high-performance supplementary cementitious material (SCM). This process not only enhances environmental responsibility by reducing landfill waste but also ensures a reliable, long-term supply of ASTM C618 Class F fly ash for the construction industry.

TxDOT Approval: A Major Achievement

TxDOT approval is a rigorous process, requiring extensive testing and compliance with strict quality standards. Achieving this approval means that SRMG’s harvested Coronado fly ash meets the high-performance demands for infrastructure projects throughout Texas, a state with a substantial need for durable, long-lasting concrete solutions.
