Apprenticeship Program

SRMG works closely with Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and their Apprenticeship Program.  This program provides training to SRPMIC Community members, employees and other individuals seeking certification as a journeyman of their chosen trade.

As an apprentice with SRMG, you gain valuable real world experience whether learning to operate front end loaders in the Heavy Equipment Apprenticeship to learning many of the software programs needed to provide exceptional service to our internal and external customers.

Apprenticeships

"My name is Jacqueline and I have been enrolled in the Computer Apprenticeship Program since April 2015 and with SRMG at the Mechanics Shop since August 2015. I have learned a new program called EAM where I create work orders for the Mechanics, view and manage fuel and hour meters for Heavy Equipment and sometimes create purchase orders for parts and supplies. What I like about my job are the hours, my co-workers and meeting new people. Each day is never the same; there is always something new.
Once I complete my required hours in the fall of 2016, I look forward to hopefully having a permanent job here at SRMG. If that doesn't work out, I plan on going back to school to become a pastry chef."

"My name is Adrienne and I am an enrolled Community member. I am currently working at SRMG's Chaparral Corporate Office where I am finishing up my OJT hours for the Computer Apprenticeship Program so I may receive my journeyman's certification. Working at SRMG has been a great learning experience for me and I am grateful for all of the help I get from the staff here. I have learned how important customer service is when answering phone calls and transferring calls and other office skills that are helping me look forward to getting a permanent job.
I would like to thank SRMG for their partnership with the Computer Apprenticeship Program and for giving all of the apprentices great work experience. I can't wait to show my journeyman's certification to my whole family so they can be proud of me."
